VERTO’s Reconciliation Action Plan

VERTO’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is a blueprint that enables our organisation to play an active role within our communities towards improving outcomes for Indigenous Australians.

VERTO has a proud history of assisting Indigenous Australians to gain the skills necessary to find work and find the right employment opportunities through exciting programs including the Aboriginal Youth Leadership Program.

We are committed to providing better opportunities for Indigenous Australians and see the RAP as a core component of our organisational culture.

VERTO’s RAP was fully endorsed by Reconciliation Australia on 29 September, 2022.

RESEARCH INTO APPRENTICESHIP COMPLETION BARRIERS FOR ABORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER PEOPLES

In 2023, the Social Research Centre (SRC) was commissioned by VERTO to conduct qualitative and quantitative research into barriers to apprenticeship completion for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The SRC engaged The Nahri Institute to assist with this project to ensure all research conducted was culturally appropriate. The Nahri Institute cultivates a culture of best practice in Indigenous service delivery with in-depth experience in education service delivery to Indigenous peoples.
