With over 20 years of experience in the education and training industry Becky is a dedicated and passionate trainer and assessor.

Specializing currently within the VET sector Becky is passionate about helping individuals and organizations achieve their learning and development goals. Over the years Becky has developed extensive expertise in developing as well as creating customized training programs that cater to diverse learning styles and needs. Becky’s experience spans various sectors including – Youth, Health, Corporate, and Government industries.

At the core Becky’s approach is a commitment to empowering learners through engaging, interactive, and practical training methods as she believes education is a transformative tool that can unlock potential and drive success.

Sally

Sally

Sally Cook is a seasoned professional with years of hands-on experience in both hospitality and retail. A chef by trade and an all-round entrepreneur, her dynamic career is defined by a passion for new projects and a tenacity for making things happen.

Sally’s diverse talents span various fields, including being a qualified chef, restaurant owner, retail store owner, fashion designer (with her label featuring in Mercedes Benz Fashion Week), and a fitness and aerobics instructor in the eighties. Her multifaceted background brings a wealth of knowledge to her training.

With over 25 years in business, Sally now channels her experiences into training. Her student-centred, interactive approach creates an engaging environment that fosters participation and a deeper understanding of the material. By providing real life examples and staying current with industry trends, Sally ensures her students receive practical, relevant education. Her commitment to excellence and passion for teaching make her an invaluable asset to VERTO and her students.

Renae

Renae

Renae has over 15 years of experience in Community Services and Disabilities and has been a Trainer/Teacher for 10 years. She is highly passionate about education and training, particularly in the field of Community Services. Renae has extensive expertise in various areas including Disability Respite and Residential facilities, Residential Care facilities for children in Out-of-Home care, Youth Engagement organisations, and Literacy and Numeracy programs. She has also been a foster carer and has recently worked as a Service Manager of a Disability Support company. Renae has also almost completed her Bachelor in Psychological Science.

Justin

Justin

Justin Moran has been in been the owner and manager of a variety of hospitality businesses both within and outside Australia for 25 years prior to becoming a business and hospitality trainer. Justin trained as a chef and hospitality professional in Australia prior to moving to Europe to gain experience in hotels and restaurants in France and England. Justin opened his first small business on an idyllic Greek island, Skiathos, and spent seven years operating and expanding the business to include two restaurants and three bars employing hundreds of staff of diverse nationalities. Communication and inclusivity has always been at the forefront of Justins leadership. On his return to Australia, Justin owned and opened large hospitality venues including the development of a unique craft chocolate enterprise and developed social media and online ordering systems to maximise the reach of each business. After fourteen years of continuous operations Justin sold his venues and began his VET training career.

Claire

Claire

Claire has been a Trainer and Assessor at VERTO since 2017, after retiring as the Manager for Disability and Community Services. Claire has specialist and extensive industry expertise from her time as the Disability and Community Services Manager for VERTO, including Disability Employment Services programs and specialist programs for Aboriginal People, young people with disabilities, and people at risk of homelessness. Prior to joining VERTO, Claire worked as both a Registered Nurse and a specialist Psychiatric Nurse for over 30 years. In 2018, Claire received VERTO’s Gary Lowe Memorial Award for Teaching, Training and Assessing. This annual award is presented to the VERTO trainer who demonstrates both the highest level of commitment to excellence in teaching, and to going above and beyond to help their students achieve success. Claire is passionate about education and training and shares her wealth of experience and knowledge with them. She is committed to her students achieving their training goals and furthering their career opportunities. Claire has an innovative student-centred approach creating an environment of learning and offering individual training support.

Mitchell

Mitchell

Mitchell has enjoyed a career within the Human Services spanning over thirty years. Starting out as a Youth Worker in outdoor education, then managing a dynamic Youth Centre within a local government context. Mitchell continued in community development within two other local governments. Mitchell studied Fine Art and Social Work having an interest in Art Therapy.

Moving into the mental health and disabilities field he has enjoyed working within Respite Services, Case Management roles, and recent Peer Support roles. Adopting a person-centred approach and strengths-based framework, Mitchell now divides his week within the mental health field and his Training roles. Mitchell has always valued education and Training and mentoring with a passion. Studying the Cert IV TAE, and becoming a Trainer and Assessor, is where Mitchell wishes to give back, as he has had wonderful study experiences. Mitchell enjoys writing, painting, motorbikes, swimming, and his e-bike. And the beach with Shelly and Terry, his family’s dogs.
