Not-for-profit education, training and apprenticeships provider VERTO has deepened its commitment to helping children and families facing serious illness with a $20,000 donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Sydney.
The funding included $12,000 towards sponsorship of a Sydney race day at Randwick Racecourse on 6 August, and $8,000 towards RMHC Sydney’s upcoming Giving Day Donation campaign.
The financial contributions form part of VERTO’s ongoing commitment to the RMHCs, supporting centres across NSW in Sydney, Newcastle and Orange.
"We’re proud to support Ronald McDonald House Charities, helping children and families at a time of great need. Our organisation strives to make a difference in the lives of others every day, and working with RMHC is another way we can realise this goal,” VERTO CEO Ron Maxwell said.
RMHC Sydney CEO, Simone Daher, said support from organisations like VERTO were critical to help children and families who travel to Sydney Children’s Hospital for vital treatment from across the country.
“Words can't express how grateful we are for VERTO’s support and sponsorship of RMHC Sydney, with an amazingly generous donation of $20K. This equates to 125 nights' accommodation for the families of seriously ill children, some who have travelled from more than 100kms away,” she said.
“This contribution is a true reflection of the company's genuine and greater support of RMHC, and we can't be more thankful for their support.”
