A class of BSB30115 Certificate III in Business students have become the first to graduate using VERTO’s online platform Cloud Assess in a face-to-face training environment in Orange.
While hundreds of students engage with the platform at home or work, this was the first cohort to use Cloud Assess in a training classroom.

VERTO trainer Lanny Mackenzie said the platform has allowed the students to complete training and assessments online, moving away from paper-based learning to develop crucial skills for the modern workplace.

“One gentleman had never touched a computer in his entire life, but the other students rallied around him and you could see his confidence grow,” Ms McKenzie said.

“It was great to see the class support each other and strive to complete the certificate - as a trainer that was very fulfilling to see.”

“The entire class showed great commitment from day one and through friendship and their support for one another they were all successful in graduating.”

55-year-old Annette Field has spent years caring for relatives and immediate family, which kept her from full-time work. After graduating from the Certificate III in Business, Annette has been inspired to pursue her career dreams.

“Horses are my passion and equine-assisted learning is the perfect way for me to use this passion to help people and build a career,” Ms Field said.

“I am going to continue training and start my own business, using the business knowledge I obtained while studying with VERTO.”

VERTO CEO Ron Maxwell added, “At VERTO we understand that technology is becoming an essential tool for all occupations and we pride ourselves on offering a range of different learning platforms that put our students in control of their individual learning experiences.”
