VERTO Chief Executive Officer, Ron Maxwell, today congratulated all the finalists and winners of the 2015 New South Wales Training Awards (North Coast Region) held in Byron Bay on Friday, 12 June 2015.
Mr Maxwell said he was thrilled so many Australian Apprentices, trainees and employers who VERTO works with were recognised at the awards night.
"All finalists for the Apprentice of the Year and Trainee of the Year awards were signed up with local employers by VERTO’s North Coast team," Mr Maxwell said.
“I would like to congratulate Kelly Bryant for winning the Apprentice of the Year award and Bethany Spoor for winning the Trainee of the Year award.
“Both Bethany and Kelly will now represent the North Coast Region at the 2015 New South Wales Training Awards.
“Matthew Thomas, who was awarded the Norm Beaton Memorial Award for his achievements in the automotive industry, was also signed up by VERTO.
“We are also extremely pleased to see some great local North Coast employers acknowledged for their commitment to skilling local people and providing employment opportunities.
“I would particularly like to congratulate Richmond Valley Council on being named and shortlisted as a state finalist for Large Employer of the Year and Mackie’s Electric and Refrigeration on being named and shortlisted as a state finalist for Small Employer of the Year.
“VERTO is proud to work with both of these fantastic local employers and wishes them the best of luck as state finalists at the 2015 New South Wales Training Awards,” Mr Maxwell said.
Mr Maxwell also personally congratulated the North Coast VERTO team for its commitment to local Australian Apprentices and employers in the region.
“I would like to thank Gabrielle Barlow, Katie Clarke, Carrie Eschbach, Cathie Matthes, Kylie Schodel and Toni Wailes for their hard work and commitment to supporting all of VERTO’s valued customers on the North Coast,” Mr Maxwell said.
“We are extremely pleased to be continuing to serve the North Coast region as an Australian Apprenticeship Support Network provider from 2015 to 2018.
“I would like to again congratulate all finalists and winners of the 2015 New South Wales Training Awards (North Coast Region) on this wonderful achievement,” Mr Maxwell said.
