VERTO has developed new accessible immersive ways for jobseekers, students, career advisors and industry to explore real-world situations and career pathways.
In partnership with industry, VERTO is introducing VERTOconnect, interactive experience and tools designed to support jobseekers and students, particularly in regional communities, as they explore their career options.
“At VERTO, we believe that being able to see and experience real workplaces, supported by reliable information about in-demand occupations, helps people make more informed career choices,” said VERTO Chief Executive, Ron Maxwell.
VERTOconnect brings a range of industries to life through immersive experiences and real conversions that challenge traditional career exploration and education.
Mr Maxwell said with the launch of VERTOconnect VERTO can bring access to career guidance and future pathways, directly to regional areas anytime,
“We are excited to explore the impact of these tools and how it shapes future choices for students, career advisors, parents and industry.” Mr Maxwell said.
Today, Hunter Secondary Teachers explored VERTOconnect at the Professional Learning Network Meeting held at the University of Newcastle. VERTO’s Project Manager, Michael Bennett presented the session and was encouraged by the responses he received.
“The feedback from senior teachers was very positive,” said Mr Bennett. “Teachers shared how valuable the real talk and on the tools immersion will be in supporting them to communicate with their students about careers and pathways.”
VERTO will be presenting these immersive experiences at several high schools in the Central West and the Hunter over the next few weeks.
