VERTO secures new careers for aboriginal people contract

VERTO Chief Executive Officer, Ron Maxwell, today announced VERTO had secured the New Careers for Aboriginal People (NCAP) contract for Mid-Western New South Wales.

The NCAP program assists Aboriginal people to access education and training pathways to employment, provides personalised job search services, training and skills development for Aboriginal people, and offers job matching, placement, monitoring and mentoring support.

Mr. Maxwell said VERTO was proud to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and that the NCAP program was a great avenue for helping Aboriginal people to achieve their career and training goals.

"We’re proud to continue to provide the NCAP program in Mid-Western New South Wales," Mr. Maxwell said.

“Winning this contract means VERTO has been a provider of NCAP services in Central Western New South Wales for 13 years.

“During that time we have supported more than 1000 Aboriginal people through training or into employment opportunities.

“VERTO looks forward to continuing to work with local Aboriginal communities across Mid-Western New South Wales and to helping local people find sustainable employment opportunities,” Mr. Maxwell said.

Mid-Western New South Wales entails Bathurst, Blayney, Cowra, Forbes, Lithgow, Oberon, Orange, Parkes, Young and surrounds, and the Lachlan and Weddin areas.

The NCAP program is funded by the New South Wales Government. For more information, please call 1300 4 VERTO or visit www.verto.org.au.
