VERTO Chief Executive Officer, Ron Maxwell, today announced VERTO was proud to sponsor Todd Hazelwood, a driver competing in the V8 Supercar Dunlop Series at the Bathurst 1000 at Mount Panorama tomorrow.
Mr Maxwell said VERTO was proud to support Mr Hazelwood, who is not only the youngest driver in the championship, but also the current leader of the rookie standings.
“The V8 Supercar Dunlop Series is one of Australia’s most recognised motor racing series with professional drivers competing at high profile events and circuits around Australia,” Mr Maxwell said.
“We’re proud to support Todd Hazelwood, who is a dedicated and talented young person, to achieve his career goals and aspirations at the Bathurst 1000.
“Passion is the key to anyone achieving their goals, and it is clear to me Todd is extremely passionate about and dedicated to V8 motorsport racing,” Mr Maxwell said.
Mr Hazelwood said he was delighted to be associated with VERTO and excited about the 250km V8 Supercar Dunlop Series race tomorrow.
“I’m really looking forward to driving at Mount Panorama tomorrow, and representing Matt Stone racing,” Mr Hazelwood said.
“The Bathurst 1000 is one of the most important events on the V8 racing calendar.
“I would like to thank VERTO for their support and sponsorship,” Mr Hazelwood said.
Mr Maxwell said he was thrilled VERTO could be involved with such a prominent event based in Bathurst given VERTO was founded there.
“VERTO started as Central West Community College in the 1980s in Bathurst, so it is really important to us that we continue to give back to the community by getting involved in as many local events as we can,” Mr Maxwell said.
“I wish Todd the best of luck in his race tomorrow.
“I know he will do VERTO proud,” Mr Maxwell said.
Coverage of the V8 Supercar Dunlop Series 250km race will be broadcast on Channel 7 from 12pm tomorrow (Saturday, 11 October 2014).
