Nine Glenray laundry employees are now equipped with potential life-saving knowledge and skills after completing a first aid short course with Registered Training Provider, VERTO.
The employees learnt how to provide a first aid response to a casualty, with the specialised training delivered face-to-face in a way that accommodated the needs of each individual learner.
“VERTO has worked closely with Glenray to deliver positive training for their employees for many years,” Mr Maxwell said.
“VERTO has provided training to more than 550 people living with disability in NSW in the last 12 months alone.
“We understand the significant benefits training and employment can have for everyone and this is another great example of VERTO providing specialised training opportunities that enrich lives.”
Glenray General Manager, Kath Graham, added, “Glenray strives to provide people living with disability with pathways for them to learn and grow their skills and achieve their life goals. Glenray is very proud of the dedication shown by these employees.”
