CHC43415 Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
If you are interested in a fulfilling and rewarding career participating in the design, implementation and evaluation of leisure, health activities and programs for clients in one or more sector areas. This is the course for you!
Possible positions include:
- Community Recreation Activity Assistant
- Day Support Disability Officer
- Weekend Recreational Activities Officer
- Recreational Activities Officer
- Diversional Therapy Assistant
- Community Leisure Officer
There are no formal entry requirements to undertake this qualification as per the training package. Students will however be required to obtain a National Police Check that has no offences listed that would exclude them from working in the community services sector with vulnerable persons.
You may also be required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) should the work require you to be in the vicinity of children and/or an NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) if it is a requirement of the work placement site.
Our training options are flexible to meet the needs of every student. Training options include face to face, a combination of face to face and online, work based training or traineeships. Average course duration is between 12-24 months.
Once theoretical assessments are completed, students will undertake work placement to the minimum amount of hours required. Work placement will provide the hands-on experience you need to succeed.
