A Diploma of Community Services will give you the skills and knowledge to be a leader in the community services sector! Take your career to the next level and make a difference.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 100 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.
Possible positions include:
- Child Welfare Officer
- Residential Care Worker
- Community Services Case Manger
- Social Housing Coordinator
There are no formal entry requirements to undertake this qualification as per the training package. VERTO however only offers this qualification to existing employees in the industry.
To work in this sector, students must obtain a National Police Check with no offences listed. Any offences listed would exclude students from working in the community services sector with vulnerable persons. Students may also be required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) should their work require them to be in the vicinity of children or if it is a requirement of the work placement site.
Our training options are flexible to meet the needs of every student. Training options include face to face, a combination of face to face and online, work based training or traineeships. Average course duration is between 9-12 months.
