How Can Parent Pathways Help You?
The program offers a range of flexible support, including:
- Language and Literacy Programs: Improve your skills to open up new opportunities.
- Child Care Support: Assistance with finding child care and covering costs.
- Financial Aid: Help with training courses, textbooks, or buying a computer.
- Training Opportunities: Enrol in short courses to boost your skills.
- Career Guidance: Receive advice on career paths and professional development.
- Referral to Support Services: Access services like financial advice and family support.
How Does Parent Pathways Work?
Parent Pathways is flexible and voluntary. You’ll work with a mentor to create a personalised plan based on your unique needs. Meetings can be in-person, over the phone, or online, and you can bring your children along if needed. If your situation changes, your mentor will help you adapt the plan.
Am I Eligible?
The program is open to parents and carers who:
- Have a child under 6
- Are not in paid employment
- Live in an area with a Parent Pathways provider
Eligibility also includes those receiving Parenting Payment, Carer Payment, or Special Benefit, or those who are under 22, early school leavers, or First Nations parents or carers.
