What To Expect

VERTO operates a merit-based recruitment process. Interviews are generally conducted by a three member panel consisting of representatives from the service area and Human Resource team and run for up to 45 minutes.

Got an interview?

Turn up prior to your allocated time ready to start on time. At times there may be extraordinary circumstances where interviews may start late, or finish later than expected but we will endeavor to always be on time.

Your commencement with us is conditional on a cleared Working with Children Check and/or National Police Check for identified positions.

For positions designated to require a new Working With Children Check or National Police Check, it will be the successful applicants responsibility to gain this and provide the details to us (further information can be obtained by reviewing https://ocg.nsw.gov.au/ and www.afp.gov.au or asking the interview panel.

You may also be asked to participate in a pre-employment screening process. This may include checking the authenticity of certificates and qualifications, psychometric and skills testing.

What happens after the interview?

After the interview the panel will make its recommendations, referee checks will be conducted and a report will be presented to the Service Manager for their consideration. Once this is approved an Offer of Employment will be made and a start date will be negotiated. This process can take some time to be completed. Everyone who attends an interview will be contacted and advised on the outcome.
